
High up in the mountains of the Rioja region, we had an amazing meal in a small local village restaurant.
As a starter we had this paprika spiked “soup” that had freshly dug potatoes and smoky sausages. I think we were the only non locals as everyone else seemed related to each other. Main course was a treat: a platter piled high with rib lamb chops that were grilled out back over live fire.
