Seared Foie Gras and a Fried Egg over green lentils and mushrooms with a balsamic reduction…all topped off with minced chives

What a way to start the day! El Quim de la Boqueria in Barcelona is one of my most favorite spots when visiting this city. Tucked back behind the fruit and vegetable stands and other vendors in the back, left corner of the Boqueria, this food stall doesn’t hold back.

I’ve eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Sure, my trips to Barcelona usually include some amazing meals at high end restaurants, but the meals I have had at El Quim are always memorable. If they are on season, you have to get the sauteed baby fish. Looks odd, but so good
